I hope everyone is doing well. I hope you are all surviving the storm that inevitably accompanies time off from school. I hope that your children are not set back too much by all the crazy changes that occur during the holidays – especially holidays that seem to involve tons and tons of candy.
I am blessed in that we focus on our Savior during Easter. We focus on the Resurrection and how we are so very blessed by Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
We don’t do candy.
Well, maybe a few taffies and a bit of chocolate 😉
And this year The Boy only had off on Good Friday.
I am being blessed over and over again!!
So hold tight to those you cherish. Be thankful for all you have in this world and be thankful for a Savior who suffered for our sins. Make memories with your families that are YOURS and focus on love and acceptance of how YOUR family works. Whatever that may look like.
My kids wake up to a family basket with a toy or 2 for each child. My daughter got a book and had her nose in it all day! She is her mother’s daughter. I love it. Then we did our annual scavenger hunt and my Teen wanted to do his in the DARK!! That was super cool <3 He has all the best ideas <3 The baby enjoyed following everyone around outside and Hubby thought it was amazing to hide things super hard for the poor Teen. The Boy enjoyed the quiet inside, watching his favorite show on TV.
It was a good day.
And I am so very thankful for it.
Now that everyone is in bed. It’s time to break out my Sensation oil and spend some much needed time with Hubby. Because of our busy schedules we haven’t had time together for about 2 weeks and we are long overdue. Remember, parents/caregivers need to recharge themselves if they have any hopes of giving the best care to those around them. So love on your kids, but don’t forget to love on your spouse and YOURSELF!!!
Blessings to you all <3
